Fill your tummy with The KEBAB FACTORY’s definitely mouthwatering Chicken Mast Kebab, for FREE!!!
This is a must-try! We sampled The KEBAB FACTORY’s Chicken Mast Kebab (2 skewers of tender pieces of boneless chicken marinated & roasted in a Tandoor). Even if you decide not to put any sauce, this chicken kebab can stand on its own.
Trust me – it’s that good! Later on, we found out from Operations Manager, Sam Sehwani, that the secret is the Tandoor oven. The Tandoor oven is even imported from India and this is what makes the food in The Kebab Factory very much authentic. The exotic ingredients and spice direct from India add to the food’s delightful play in your palette. The result is chicken that is cooked perfectly inside and out while still retaining its moisture making it very succulent. We also paired this with Garlic Naan, which is traditional leavened bread with garlic also cooked in the Tandor oven.
The Kebab Factory can be found at 2nd floor (2/F), The Atrium, SM Megamall. Its interiors are modern, simple yet fresh and not your typically designed Indian restaurant. It definitely won’t distract you from the most important element – the food. We noticed some Indian nationals dining which says a lot about the authenticity of the food here.
For starters, we tried the Papadum Masala (fried lentil wafers garnished with onions) and Hummus (chickpeas with Tahini paste served with pita bread). The Papadum was thin, crunchy and mildly spicy which will go well with beer during Happy Hour.
We could not help but order another chicken dish out of curiosity and went for the Chicken Makanwala– boneless chicken marinated in yogurt and spices cooked over butter and cream. Not your usual chicken dish but enticing, just the same.
Another dish we would have tried if we weren’t so full is their Lamb Chop Tandoori. Looks delish don’t you think?
Being Filipinos that we are, no meal is complete without rice. We opted for the Hyderabad Biryani. We loved this rice not only because of its long grains but also because of the rich array of spices used not to mention the very expensive saffron.
All in all, it was a great first experience in The Kebab Factory. We are stopping time by for merienda next time to try out what Filipinos are quite familiar with – Shawarma. You have a choice of chicken, lamb or beef (Australian) with the following dressings: classic, pesto, barbeque & mint-coriander. The size is huge enough to be shared and is a meal in itself.
